The Mnemosyne: inside Luca Poma's curated moodboard

Inspired by Aby Warburg’s titanic visual atlas, – the oldest form of moodboard to date – The Mnemosyne: inside curated moodboards is where we ask artists to walk us through their artistic research with an archive of visual bits (archived images, camera roll pictures, book pages, videos), to contrast algorithmic feeds and restore the fun in personally-curated visual boards.

In this chapter, we present Luca Poma (b. 1998, Pesaro), an Italian intermedia artist whose practice originates in painting, subsequently expanding into sculpture, experimental cinema, and the development of ludonarrative experiences. His research focuses on the crafting of what he calls “sublimating sensations”: esoteric fissures within the contexts of warfare, nature, and in the memory of rural life. Because his work seeks to answer intangible questions, the route he accompanies us into is more image-based than verbal, with just a few indications to officially Enter the Void.
